Kawanishi N1K2-J Shinden-Kai fighters. Originally built as floatplane, the N1K was developed into a land based fighter and became one of the best Japanese fighters of the war. Armed with four 20mm cannons, fast, and comparing favourably to the Hellcat, it was operated by the elite of the Japanese Navy. Despite this, some were expended in Kamikaze attacks during the Okinawa campaign. 1,435 N1Ks were built.
