Hello. I started off as a kid fascinated by airplanes. I earned my private pilot licence through the air cadets, but couldn’t follow it up with a commercial licence because of my lousy eyesight. I lucked out, though, by getting into aircraft maintenance, first with the Royal Canadian Air Force, and now with a major airline. It’s not flying, but it’s a decent substitute.
The video shows me flying near Squamish, BC, and using a half Cuban as a box canyon escape manoeuvre, in May 2017.
