The Sea Harrier is the naval version of the British designed Harrier. The Harrier was the first aircraft in military service that was capable of V/STOL or Vertical/Short Take Off and Landing. The Sea Harrier FA2 entered service with the Royal Navy in 1993 and served as a fighter, reconnaissance and attack aircraft. They were retired from Royal Navy service in 2006.

In 2005 Art Nalls, a retired US Marine Corps Harrier pilot, purchased a Sea Harrier and started the process of importing it to the United States and returning it to flying status. Today, you can see Art and the Sea Harrier at airshows around the United States.
