I just created this post for my World War One collection. This is one of the most elaborately decorated German Fokker DVIIs painted with the Brother’s Grimm fairy tale “Seven Swabians”. The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in New York, U.S.A. still maintains, and flies, a replica of this aircraft.

Jasta 65 Gefreiter Wilhelm Scheutzel’s Fokker D.VII(OAW) 4649/18 had the Brothers Grimm fairy tail “Seven Swabians” painted on the sides. Each side was different. Text from http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4150076/all/What%27s_the_story_on_this_D.VII
