A recent post from my World War One collection- German ace Werner Voss, Manfred von Richthofen’s friend and rival. He was a phenomenal marksman allegedly a master of deflection shooting. He loved tinkering with motors, loved motorcycles, and his aircraft, especially his Albatros DIII, were distinctively decorated. He believed that the Fokker Dr.I Triplane was the best aircraft he had ever flown and he was the absolute master of it, earning praise from friend and foe alike!
