An interesting find I just came across…

Two Hawker Tempests Mk.Vs in flight showing off two different powerplant/cowling designs. The closest is using an experimental annular cowling for its Napier Sabre engine (and looks very much like the Tempest Mk.II) whilst the other one is equipped with the usual “beard” cowling.
