Aircraft of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force(航空自衛隊) and helicopters of the Japan Ground Self Defence Force (陸上自衛隊) . Here you can see F-15Js with markings celebrating unit anniversaries and AH-1s with anime girls on the side, one complete with body cut-out! These helicopters are celebrating the 45th anniversary of the JGDSF’s formation, the pictures being taken in 2009.

These forces will only see action if Japan is attacked, a remnant from the harsh rules laid down by the USA at the end of the Second World War. Nonetheless, it is an interesting group of armed forces that deserve more attention than they get at the moment.
