I’ll give you one guess as to what I was up to today. 🙂

Yesterday and today, I spent about 3 hours digging out from the snowstorm that dumped over a foot of snow. Locally, I estimate we got closer to 14″. Though we have some drifts over 3′ in depth. For Minnesota, that is quite a bit of snow to come out of one storm. If the snow was fluffier, we could have seen quite a bit more snow.
The great news is the T-Craft owner now has his tailwheel endorsement. So it wouldn’t surprise me if he came out to play in the snow. 🙂
As a side note, last week I had the opportunity to hop in the Taylorcraft to taxi the runway to check its condition while the owner waited for his instructor. The instructor was late. So instead of waiting, he allowed me to try my hand at taxiing. It felt fairly natural in that I knew I shouldn’t be shy with my rudder inputs. I just have nail the timing and duration better when jabbing the rudder. Also, I have to get better in modulating the rudder application as more throttle is applied.
