AMERICA’S FIRST OPERATIONAL JET FIGHTER
The Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star is an American fighter jet. It made a few flyovers of Germany in the last weeks of the World War II. After this war it was used in Korean War. From 1947 its designation was changed to F-80 Shooting Star. The United States Air Force was the main operator, but they were also used by Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Uruguay.
