UPDATE In the comments Fredric alerted us to the fact the Storch may not have had it’s first flight on May 24th. Rather it appears it was on May 10th. For now we will be leaving this post but here is a link with further information:

The Fieseler Fi 156 Storch (English: Stork) was a small German liaison aircraft built by Fieseler before and during World War II.
