Okay, I want to get some people to weigh in on Matthew Santoro’s commentary starting at 3:20

I have made my own response below. Agree? Disagree? Leave a comment.

Matthew Santoro While it may be true that Soviet forces inflicted the most German casualties, the USA provided a huge boost in manufacturing capacity, providing many bomber and fighter aircraft to the British through the Lend-Lease bill signed into law by President Roosevelt. Let’s not forget about that Lend-Lease also provided military supplies and aircraft to the Soviets as well.

In fact, according to Wikipedia the USA delivered: “In total, the U.S. deliveries through Lend-Lease amounted to $11 billion in materials: over 400,000 jeeps and trucks; 12,000 armored vehicles (including 7,000 tanks, about 1,386 of which were M3 Lees and 4,102 M4 Shermans); 11,400 aircraft (4,719 of which were Bell P-39 Airacobras) and 1.75 million tons of food.”.

So I believe your commentary is short-sighted and doesn’t take into account the manufacturing might of the USA.
