Texan Tusday!!

The North American T-6/SNJ Texan is powered by the Pratt & Whitney R-1340 Wasp radial engine. It was Pratt & Whitney’s first engine. The engine is an air-cooled, nine cylinder radial design, displacing 1,344 cubic inches and uses a single speed supercharger. The R-1340 as used in the Texan produces about 600 horsepower at 2,250 rpms.
