I wonder if this aircraft would have caught on due to the prior safety record of the Granville Brother’s aircraft designs?

The September 1933 Popular Aviation (Flying) Magazine cover has an interesting picture of a transport (passenger plane) in the Granville Brother’s style. However the magazine did not contain any mention such a plane even as a concept. As was pointed out in a post by Gazing Skyward TV, 13 Aug 1932 was the first flight of the Gee Bee Model R.
