If you went to the NAS Oceana Air Show back in 2009, held in mid-October!?, braved the cold, the bitter winds and light rain then you were treated to 30 foot afterburner flames. Capt Phil “Ritz” Smith and WSO Capt John “Gizmo” Cox of the Strike Eagle Demo Team launch F-15E, 89-0495 for a demo, that IIRC was shortened because someone over g’d their ride.
