This Day in Aviation History

May 16th to the 17th, 1943
Using special ‘bouncing bombs’, Lancasters of the RAF’s No. 617 squadron destroy two dams in Germany’s Ruhr Valley. The ‘Dambusters Raid’ is one of the most daring and famous of the war.

If you haven’t seen the movie “The Dambusters”; you really should!
