Well,friends,this is what I`ve found nearby the street of my todays trip from Aachen Germany (my hometown) to Bruxelles,Belgium.It`s near the border and by accident I met the 83 years old founder of that memorial monument.He was 8 years old when the “Picklpuss” was shot down by a German Me 109.He lived with his parents on a little farm and saw the plane crash down.They all went down suddenly after the crash of the “Picklepussy” and did what they could do.In 2002 they startet to collect money to built that monument.One of the surviving crew members and his sons visitet him later on and the founder was honored with several medals.I wrote this with an expression of highly respect and empathy.Walter
